PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

The product consists of two options

Foundation Option explained
Our unique blended e-learning package combines text guidance, video lectures (the equivalent of over two days of face to face teaching) which has been specifically designed and updated to assist and support clients in their preparation for promotion processes and boards across all Forces.
This product has been designed and delivered by Andy and Aled , two retired Chief Superintendents who are vastly experienced in policing and have undertaken several promotion processes, both as panel members and candidates during their service.
The modules are outlined below
• Introduction and overview of leadership qualities, and specific reference to a number of leadership building blocks;
• An opportunity to examine your own leadership qualities and Identify gaps that need to be filled.
• Guidance and advice on building your ‘Personal Development Plan’;
• A review of the ‘Competency and Values Framework’ with a specific focus on the level 2 competencies and behaviours; ( Both old and revised 2024 CVF covered )
• An ‘Introduction to Interview Technique’;
• Several ‘Sample Interview Questions’ with advice and guidance on structuring your response, providing examples of what a strong response and weaker response would constitute; and
• Guidance and advice on the delivery of presentations and the skills involved in preparing and managing presentations in a promotion process.



Enhanced Preparation Option Explained
This is for those who candidates that want to stand out and maximise their chances of success during the promotion process.
Building on the Blended E-Learning, the one to one mentoring support can take you to a new level by further supporting and assisting you in your preparation for promotion.
Our Aim
• To maximise your potential of success during any promotion process;
• To help you build and develop your leadership capacity and capability as you aspire to your new leadership role.
• To help you present as a quality candidate and stand out on the day.
• To provide you with insights you may not have previously considered.
The 1.5 hours one to one session can be focused on any promotion related issue as dictated by you the client – this could include further discussion and support relating to the leadership building blocks, CVF competencies and questions, interview and presentation skills.
Many clients wish to explore the mentor’s wealth of experience as both panel members and candidates on numerous promotion processes and benefit from their unique top tips. The sessions will in most cases be delivered remotely (via Skype or telephone), clients are also welcome to visit a mentor for a face to face session if they prefer.
Our experience coaches Andy and Aled are retired Senior Police Officers who have worked in all ranks up to and including Chief Superintendent. Both are having great success with clients and are committed to sharing their wealth of experience in promotion processes with you. Andy and Aled really know what it feels like on a run up to a promotion process and are fully committed to helping you be the very best you can be on the day.
