POLICE PASS COVID19 POLICY
LICENCE DURATION - COVID 19 - CONTINGENCY PRE-PLANNING
E-learning licences are delivered in 6 month blocks. Under normal circumstances, the 6 month duration is all that candidates require.
Due to the fact that the Sergeants 2020 and June NIE examination has already been postponed - we need to plan for the potential postponement of other examinations as well.
THE CURRENT POSITION
The official position from the College of Policing is that the Inspectors 2020 examination is still on at present as is the September NIE - but that all examinations are being kept under review. Please see the College of Policing's dedicated COVID 19 web page for updates.
OUR CONTINGENCY MEASURES FOR NEW PURCHASERS
We have therefore resolved to increase the licence duration on new purchases to run until the date of the next available sitting of your relevant examination (Inspectors, Sergeants or NIE examination) with a backstop of the maximum duration of 18 months from the date of purchase. In order to do so we will roll over your licence where necessary.
This should give new Inspector, Sergeant and Detective candidate purchasers peace of mind that their licence will take them through to their examination, even in the eventuality of further postponements.
DEFERRED SERGEANT & JUNE NIE CUSTOMERS - POLICY FOR PREVIOUS PURCHASERS
Candidates who purchased their e-learning licence BEFORE the postponement of the examination will NOT have to purchase a fresh e-learning licence at full value.
All affected customers will be notified directly via email of the special re-licence arrangements applicable to them.
CRAMMER COURSES BEING UNABLE TO RUN DUE TO GOVERNMENT SOCIAL DISTANCING MEASURES
If the examinations are being run although via a different means - virtual rather than in an examination hall due to the COVID 19 pandemic and social distancing measures are still in place preventing the running of face to face courses, we will as a last resort contingency measure, deliver the course via an online live streaming service.
